TELL ME A STORY…

A client’s story is the most important part of this work. There is so much beyond the physical stuff the surrounds us, and I’m invested in learning the parts that surface when we start working together. I hold each story dearly, and can only hope everyone feels the same imprint that is left by doing this work together.

From Toys to Teenagers

Sonja | Client since 2016

Sonja first called Ever So Neat because the basement was overrun with her children’s toys. She was looking for someone to help navigate their way out, and I happily joined their family to do so. Where she saw a messy playroom, I saw a loving mom who nurtured her children’s growth. They had everything they needed for free play, and it showed in their never ending creativity. Throughout the years, their transitions have been supported by setting time aside to complete the process together - carefully sorting and editing consistently.

Categories that have been decluttered/organized: Basement, family room, bedrooms, kitchen, art supplies, new school year, clothes, toys, books, renovations, children’s hobbies and business endeavors.

Highlight: I smile every time I walk up the steps to Sonja’s house, and the happiness stays throughout. Working with Sonja’s family has been a true joy and it has been so much fun to get to know each of them. My favourite part is seeing the (not so little) children apply the organizing processes to their own spaces, and be ready to let go as they move through different stages in their lives.

Quynh Thu | Client since 2014

Pet Care & Beyond

Quynh Thu first hired me to organize her growing dog grooming shop. This eventually led to organizing every single room in her house. Quynh Thu is kind and thoughtful; an intentional business owner and mom.  She values small businesses, energetic work and holistic practices. Her approach immediately aligned with mine, and I happily accepted the job of organizing the parts she found tedious and overwhelming.

Categories that have been decluttered/organized: Dog grooming supplies, basement, garage, main bedroom, children’s bedrooms, kitchen, living room, garage, renovations.

Highlight: When we first started together, the process of letting go was slow - but steady, and very intentional. As I drove up to their house a few sessions later, I was pleasantly surprised to see a full dumpster on their front lawn! They were truly ready to let go and highlight the things they had decided to keep. I love visiting their home, which is a clear reflection of their open hearts, thoughtfulness and welcoming nature.

More than an Idea

Jocylyne | Client since 2022

Jocylyne is a woman with an incredible sense of community, made obvious by the people who surround and support her. With a newfound purpose of cultivating the connections around her, she was filled with a myriad of ideas that always just stopped short of execution. Part of it was her very busy schedule, and part of it was the logistical details needed to get things done. It has been so inspiring to see the impact she has made in such a short amount of time.

Categories that have been decluttered/organized: Meeting minutes, action items, events, workflow, schedule, priorities, children’s clothes, toys, her brain!

Highlight: Before I started officially working with Jocylyne, I was listening to her ideas as a friend and confidante. Even then, I couldn’t stop myself from taking notes because I believed so much in her vision. In just 2 years, Jocylyne went from being nervous to do 5 minute video on social media to organizing a full weeklong Comedy Festival. It has been amazing to see her ideas come to life!

Dr. Jay| Client since 2017

Paper Colonoscopy

In true dental humour, Dr. Jay once compared our work to a paper colonoscopy. You don’t look forward to it, but it helps you see exactly what’s going on, and it feels good to clear your sh*t! Working with Dr. Jay is to see behind the scenes of someone who is committed to excellence in every area of his life - business, family and personal commitments. Our first project was to organize his paperwork, but he knew from the start that there was more to it than that. Beyond the physical clutter was the weight of personal and professional obligations, accumulated (over)commitment, and too many fires to put out at once. Consistent sessions have seen him start to delegate, say no more, and find clarity within.

Categories that have been decluttered/organized: Incoming mail, paperwork, basement, guest room, clothes, books, basement, hobbies, tools, financial documents, projects, action items.

Highlight: In working with Dr. Jay and his wife, Dr. Janice, I have witnessed the way they navigate life’s curveballs - with compassion, thoughtfulness, dexterity and a continued sense of humour. Beyond the task of reducing their paper clutter, it has been an honour to also support them through life’s ups and downs. Little by little, they are working towards finding the work/life balance that will nourish their family led goals.

“It’s my true joy

to be doing this with others.

Not for them, necessarily -

To be by their side in support and guidance; Showing them love and acceptance, while they find it for themselves.”
